We are building an international team of dairy products lovers that want to reinvent the food industry. Bon Vivant is a venture-backed, fast-growing company and following our seed round we are looking for a Food Scientist Senior (M/F) in Lyon to contribute to the development of Bon Vivant's protein ingredients.

What you will be doing:

In the Food Science & Innovation team, your mission is leading the development of new functional protein ingredients that fit with the needs of the food industry. Your responsibilities will include:

- To lead food application development, in particular, in the area of alternative fresh dairy and cheese products, to unlock new opportunities of application for Bon Vivant ingredients and to provide technical recommendations to our customers

- To define and provide to the Bioprocess team ingredient specifications adapted to food applications

- To support the sales team in promoting protein ingredients to customers (proofs of concept for technical and marketing support)

- To prospect and engage with academics and external R&D partnerships to carry out studies and monitor technological advances in the alternative proteins sector

- To design and execute laboratory and pilot experiments and be the go-to person to solve technical challenges 

- To autonomously coordinate R&D projects for the new product development pipeline, managing technicians and research associates involved in different projects

About you :

- You are passionate about Bon Vivant’s mission to bring the success of alternative dairy products

- You possess a Master or a PhD in Food Science specialization in Dairy Science with a focus on physical chemistry/biochemistry/process engineering

- You have +5 years of experience in the dairy industry, ideally including cheese production

- You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken

- You have project management skills and ability to consistently drive data management and accurate decision-making processes
